Does a squirrel curl its tail over to protect its body in rainy weather?

Introduction
Squirrels can be seen being active year round and even in rainy weather as they search for and collect food.  Observations have been made of squirrels folding their tales over top of their bodies as they sit and eat.  This is perhaps a way to protect the squirrel while it is raining out.  I hypothesize that squirrels will curl their tale over their bodies whenever it is raining.
Materials and Methods
Squirrels will need to be collected and placed into a laboratory where the environment is able to be controlled.  To simulate rain, a sprinkler system can be turned on and observation of tail curling and no tail curling will need to be recorded for each squirrel.  Also, it will need to be recorded if there is any tail curling over top the body whenever the “rain” is turned off.  A t-test can used to determine if there is a significant difference in tail curling when it is raining and when it is not raining.

  1. I could be wrong. I think that the Squirrel's behaviours' are in conjunct with the action of the squirrel at the given time. So, a and b are actually C (the same) -- however, the hypothesis... my "hypothesis" also means that C is actually (B). Which means, that when it rains, it does not matter. Because, the squirrels actions does and does NOT pair/match with the animals/rodents behavior.

The squirrel may as well curl 'his' tail to prove his manlyhood; otherwise known his territory is "terrestrial" like said in A Field Guide to Animal Tracks. Though, this animal is proud, distinctly proud to have "this" land his own.

Like any living organism, the animal forages for food by scurrying along any surface, Firstly and most-likely lastly.

If the 'rodent' is wet from rain, not of course, but he could be protecting his territory from all the a's and b's from the (c)onclusion, which is actually the 'cause and effect'. Where are we now?

I am certain that squirrels or any living organism would protect itself. We are one living organism. Animals are smarter than Humans. That is why animals are to be protected and not to live indoors as domesticated "pets".

    And so forth...

  2. We recently observed a squirrel folding tail on the back as a couple birds chasing after it.
